Ne hallják, csak bölcsek s vének, mert gúnyt űz a pór belőle: Élő vágyról szól az ének, Mely a lángba halni dőlne. Hűs közén szerelmi éjnek, Mely nemzett, melyen nemzettél, Egy új vágynak, egy új kéjnek Hona lett a mécses szentély. Lelked szárnya kifeszűl, és Elhagyod a sötét ágyat, Magasztosabb közösűlés Kéjét sejti tisztult vágyad. Távolság már nem riaszthat, Hol világ van, oda szállasz, S míglen csak a fényt szomjaztad, Mint a lepke, lángban állasz. S míg e kettőn át nem haladsz: Halálon s föltámadáson, Csetlő, botló vendég maradsz Ezen ködös földvilágban. (1907)
