The Thrush's Nest (English)
(for Michael Kinsella)
Bramble, like barbed wire,
Stitches the thicket tight, laces
A net of leaves against the
Sun: only the birds can pass.
Pinned high where the twigs
Cross, it shapes from a blur;
Still heart of the bush, darkness
Parts slowly to let it through.
Her black pebble-eyes dazed
With waiting, the mother snaps
Alive at my presence, grabs
Air, screaming - reveals her shining
Hoard: luminous with heat,
Four freckled ovals of perfect
Sky, the skin of one threaded
With cracks - pulsing with life. Uploaded by | P. T. |

A rigó fészke (Hungarian)
(Michael Kinsellának)
Szögesdrótként, szederindák
Sürüsítik a bozótost, levelek
Hálója szövődik a napfény
Ellen: itt csak madár jut át.
Felszúrva magasra, hol a gallyak
Egymást metszik, kiválik a homályból;
A bokor nyugodt szive, a sötétség
Lassan nyílik szét, kapujaként.
A tojó fekete kavics-szeme várakozva,
Bódultan mered; anya-riadalom támad
Közeledtemre, a csőr levegő után
Kap, rikácsol - előbukkan tündöklő
Gyüjteménye: forróságtól ragyogva
A négy pettyes ovális, tökéletes
Égboltozatok, az egyiket már pattogás
Kezdi ki bentről - lüktető előleg.
