Bjarni Thorarensen (30. desember 1786- 25. ágúst 1841) var amtmaður fyrir norðan og austan sem bjó að Möðruvöllum. Þrátt fyrir miklar embættisannir orti Bjarni talsvert og var hann helsti boðberi rómantísku stefnunnar á Íslandi.
